Play with Kittehs!

So, whilst in the middles of my online escapades, I can across a wonderful site where you can play with cats in an animal shelter using robot toys. By simply pushing a button, a toy will move around in some way, and (hopefully) the cats will play with. You can watch, in real time, the animal shelter room, and chat with other people who are also on the site too, if you choose. Check it out, it's pretty neat.

UPDATE on my life: Chill'in

Ahh, mid-January. The time of Finals/midterms. The time where holiday cash burns holes in children's pockets. A time where getting an unscheduled day off of school is a possibility. A time where the sounds of metal scraping concrete and fierce trumpets from noses are heard everywhere. Sound like fun?

I've been trying to do some homework today, but have pleasantly failed, due to addictive daytime TV ( Law and Order SVU anyone?). I should have gotten this done yesterday, but didn't. But hey it isn't due for a couple days now, so why not procrastinate. And it's not like I haven't started it yet, right?

I realize that I have been skimping on my pictures, so let me just update that for ya...

This is Maddy's Bumblebee costume I got her for Christmas.

Found this on the Internet, thought you'd like it. Poor Alice...
Ok, so this one on the left deserves a little more explanation than a caption. I originally just wanted the girl to be barefoot on the swing, but as it turns out, drawing feet are hard. So I was eventually like "screw it", and drew frog legs. I think the frog legs turned out pretty nice, and instead of titling the picture something simple like "girl on a swing", I titled it "SammakonreisiƤ" which is Finnish for "frog legs". Well, at least Google translate thinks it's Finnish for "Frog Legs".
Anyhow, I didn't paint this one, though I did plan too. I decided to color it with colored pencils because I got new fancy ones for Christmas. Look at the different shades of green going on! It's amazing!

So, yeah. There really isn't much going on for me today, So how about some shoutouts?

1st shout out goes to Rebecca D, her mom Mrs. D, her lil' sister Delany, and her cool Grandma Ms.Cathy, for taking me to the mall and introducing me to the super awesome Nordstrom's Cafe. Thanks a ton you guys!

2nd shout out goes to my Mom and Dad, for taking C and me out on Saturday. I had lots of fun, thanks!

3rd shout out goes to the snow, for keeping me out of school! You're the best!

5 minutes of people doing awesome things

Check out this great MSN video: 5 minutes of people doing awesome things

In other news; Madison (aka, Kitten) fell off my desk today! But before i tell you the details of this event, i must launch into a back story to help explain. Madison was lying on my desk because she has recently discovered the joys of playing with my computer screen. I know what your thinking, "this can't end well," but you are wrong! You see, she sees the words being typed, my fingers moving across the keypad, the mouse moving across the page, ads blinking and moving, etc. She will sit (usually on my right side) really close to the screen and watch, sometimes poking the screen. Then she'll lay down, with half her body on my key bored. But anyway, she was laying down, facing away from me and I touched the back of her head to pet her. Being the feisty little feline she is, she rolled over to bite my hand, but instead she rolled right off. When she got back up, she was stunned, and kind of paused for a moment, as if collecting herself. Ahh, the joys of animals...

Two Minute Mysteries!

Now for a new segment i like to call, Two Minute Mysteries! I have this battered copy of Two-Minute Mysteries by Donald J. Sobol. He wrote the Encyclopedia Brown books. So, I will write out the mystery, and you can leave your answer in the comments.

The Case of the Open Door
Working calmly and efficiently, Greg Verner hanged Brendon Trom in the attic of Trom's rented house. It was not until Verner tried to shut the front door that he hit a snag. The lock was jammed.
"Better get out of here," He thought, casting anxious glances at the dense woods surrounding the house.
Two hours later he was driving back to the house with Dr. Haledjian.
"Brendon's been morose since his divorce. I should have visited him, but nobody knew where he was hiding out. I got his address this afternoon when he telephoned me to say he was contemplating suicide. I thought you'd better come with me and perhaps have a talk with him.
"He said it was a white stucco house, 621 Delaware Avenue, over the phone," went on Verner. "Here we are."
Haledjian left the car first. Finding the front door ajar, he entered and switched on the lights. Five minutes later the two men found Brendon Trom in the attic.
As they stood silently staring at the body, a door chime sounded downstairs.
With Haledjian right behind him, Verner hastened to the backdoor. There stood a teenage girl. "Mother asked me to return this bottle of Milk to Mr. Trom," She said.
Haledjian took the milk and after she had gone he called the police.
"You'd better arrest Mr. Verner on suspicion of murder," He said when they arrived.

Why?
